DIENWO FIELD GUIDE · SEO / GEO
How should exporters and ecommerce teams start with GEO?
Start with buyer questions, inspect the sources used in actual AI answers, improve website facts and evidence, and retest the original questions. Ecommerce teams also need clear product, shipping and return information.
GEO here means generative engine optimization, rather than geographic ad targeting. Accurate brand information, website citations and active recommendations are separate outcomes.
Start with one market and eight questions
01 · Define the decision you want to influence
A Chinese business owner asking Doubao for an export marketing partner has a different need from an overseas buyer asking ChatGPT for a supplier. Fix the audience, market, language and actual AI product first. Results from different products and environments should remain separate.
A small first round can contain four method questions and four provider questions. Examples include how to approach export GEO, whether a manufacturer should improve its site or publish content first, and what type of team can implement GEO for an ecommerce store. Leave your own brand out of these questions.
02 · Preserve answers and sources
Use a new conversation for each question. Save the time, product entry, mode, account and memory conditions, region, full answer and visible source links. Record unavailable access as unavailable. A personal account exploration is useful for finding topics, but does not replace an independent test without prior brand context.
03 · Make the website answer buyer questions accurately
Check public accessibility, crawl controls, canonical URLs and internal links. Put the company identity, services, product details, delivery scope and contact route in readable text. Structured data should agree with that text. Assess WordPress, Shopify or the existing system before proposing a rebuild.
Google states that its AI search features do not require special AI files or dedicated schema, and eligibility does not guarantee indexing or display. This is guidance for Google, not a published rule for Doubao. Read the official documentation.
04 · Turn capability into inspectable evidence
A useful guide provides steps, a checklist or selection criteria. A case study explains the starting problem, actual work, dates, test conditions and traceable results. Distinguish proposals, demonstrations, published work and measured improvement. If customer outcome evidence is unavailable, document work on your own site first.
05 · Choose media from observed sources
Inspect the articles, sites and videos actually surfaced for the target questions. Then decide whether an original technical article, industry contribution or video serves that audience. Contribute first-hand methods and verifiable material. Label owned content and paid placements honestly; an authored article is not independent validation.
06 · Retest the original questions
Keep questions and conditions fixed. Track actual search activity, brand mentions, provider recommendations and official-domain citations separately. Record visits and inquiries where their origin is known. A single answer is a snapshot, and an observed difference does not establish that one article caused it.
Priorities depend on the business
| Business | Buyer decision | Priority evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Export manufacturer / B2B | Fit, delivery capability and proof | Specifications, applications, certification scope, supported capacity claims, project process and inquiry path |
| Ecommerce / independent store | Suitability and what happens after purchase | Attributes, size or compatibility, genuine use evidence, delivery, returns, comparisons and FAQ |
| Service provider | Scope, deliverables and acceptance | Client fit, work samples, method, limitations, service process and contact path |
If visitors cannot understand the product, fix the landing page. If site facts are complete but AI answers use other sources, investigate the missing topic or supporting evidence. Industry alone does not decide the website architecture or social platform.
Our own audit: accessible does not mean recommended
Pre-publication snapshot on October 20, 2026: all 46 public pages in the dienwo.com sitemap returned HTTP 200 in our crawl. We found no noindex directive, and each page had its matching canonical URL. Organization data on 44 older pages still contained an unverified legal founding year that required removal.
These observations describe pages and metadata at that time. They do not establish Doubao indexing or recommendation coverage. We track publication and subsequent AI observations separately.
Inspect the service scope, company information and public sitemap. Later page counts may differ from this dated snapshot.
Five questions to ask a GEO provider
- Which actual product, market, language and account conditions are tested?
- Can you inspect the original questions, answers, sources and dates?
- What are the distinct diagnosis, content and website deliverables?
- Which case claims describe completed work, and which have outcome evidence?
- When will results be reviewed, and what changes if the observations do not improve?
Shanghai Dienwo Technology Co., Ltd. provides SEO/GEO diagnosis, action planning and agreed website content implementation for exporters and ecommerce teams. Monitoring data, diagnosis and planning, and implementation can be purchased independently or combined. Scope determines the quote; recommendations are measured outcomes rather than guaranteed deliverables.
